San Diego... Day 1... The Beach!

We decided to go to San Diego for a couple days now that Nick is done with a project at work that has been pretty stressful! Plus the holidays are coming and that is one of the busiest times of the year for him. California was so nice! It was in the 70's and sunny the whole time we were there which was a lot better than the 50's and rain we've been getting in Seattle!

I took A LOT of photos, so I am going to post the ones from the beach now and tomorrow I will post some from the zoo!

This is only the second time that Cole has been at the beach. The first time was on the Oregon Coast so it was cold and windy and he HATED it! Screamed the whole time! So we were really hoping that he would like it this time (since it was warm outside!) At first he wasn't too sure about it... in these two pics he refused to get off of Nick's lap!

But finally we were able to convince him to walk around in the sand and pretty soon he was running around all over the place. He even made a few friends since he loves to run up to people and wave to them! After awhile he would even get down and play in the sand with his fingers and he found a shovel so Nick helped him scoop some sand.

Out of all 81 photos from that day these last two are my favorites (yes, I played around with them a little in photoshop... lol!)

And here's a video of Cole running around on the beach... notice how he won't even let the water touch him!! Yeah it was still pretty cold water and he wanted nothing to do with it!
